CIVIL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

EMERGENCY FLOOD DAMAGE WORKS

DAGARAGU CROSSING

Client: Victoria Daly Regional Council
Location: Dagaragu Crossing
Date: December 2023

The emergency works at Dagaragu Crossing were initiated to address the critical infrastructure damage caused by severe washouts. The primary objective was to restore the crossing to a safe and operational condition, ensuring uninterrupted access for local traffic and emergency services. In addition to immediate repairs, the project sought to enhance the resilience of the crossing against future erosion and weather events by implementing robust engineering solutions.

This involved the reconstruction of the subgrade, installation of geofabric, and careful selection of materials to create a durable surface that can withstand the challenges posed by heavy rainfall and potential flooding. By employing best practices in civil construction and leveraging the expertise of experienced personnel, the project aimed to not only repair the existing damage but also fortify the crossing for long-term sustainability. Ultimately, the Dagaragu Crossing emergency works represent a proactive approach to safeguarding essential transport infrastructure in the region.

I wanted to express on behalf of Victoria Daly Regional Council my gratitude to Amrock Civil, Jacob, the immediate team members, background staff, including yourself, and associated companies for completing the work within the short time frame. The community members have also conveyed their thanks through Mayor Brian Pedwell, assuring that the community now feels safe to access and egress Daguragu. As always it is such a please to work with a professional company.
